What If

Dominique:  It is crazy because I am a what if thinker.  Yes, a what if thinker can be bad, but it can also be good!  I rethink and question that…what if scenario to almost everything I do:

  • What if everyone turned into a zombie right at this minute?
  • What if I just won the lottery?
  • What if I fell walking down these stairs?
  • What if I lived in that house?
  • What if I could sing?

Do you think like this?

Brenda:  I don’t think this is crazy at all because I do this too, but not as detailed as you about zombies and I truly believe it is not either good or bad just some people think this way and some people don’t.  Some of my similarities are the same, but some are not:

  • What if I just won the lottery, what would I do with that much money and what would I buy first?
  • What if I fell in the swimming pool, can I get myself out without panicking or can I actually swim to the wall?
  • What if I lived in that house, would I decorate it differently than my house now or pick a completely a different style?

You see I feel neither good or bad about being a thinker…it’s natural for me, but people generally think differently right?  My questions at that moment tend to go a step further to the next question.  I do not do this with every scenario, but it happens!  Do you think I’m crazy?

Dominique: My opinion is that being a what if thinker is better because you think about things before doing them. Also, being a what if thinker means you have more of a creative mind to think outside the box. This can be helpful for work, school, and many activities and being able to question something that normal people wouldn’t. Sometimes my what if thinking causes me stress and anxiety, but I have more good times with my thoughts than bad. What do you think?

Brenda: Yes, I totally agree and sometimes it does cause a little anxiety, but overall it is fun!  It makes you think creatively and puts a smile on my face and sometimes I laugh by myself!  Mark thinks I’m crazy that sometimes I am in my own thoughts trying to spend a million dollars and I love it!  Shall we ask others if they like to have fun like us or if they are completely different?

Daily Routine

Dominique: When you think about your daily routine, do you just shake your head because there isn’t enough time in the day. You have so many different goals, projects, and things that need to get done in such a short amount of time.

Brenda:  Yes, I do this constantly because life for me is hectic and I sit and wonder a lot…how can I get this under control!

Dominique: There are three types of people; those who are too busy, those who have enough time for everything, or those who are trying to fill their day. I am someone who is too busy with everything going on.

Brenda: I understand and can relate to those too busy as well because between work, home life, learning new skills, taking some training to better myself and trying to start my own business…I too stress myself out.

Dominique: Between working, starting a new career, home life, school, new activities, and time for myself, I find myself going crazy. My routine seems to keep getting worse with more things adding to my plate.  I am the type of person who loves trying new things which doesn’t help wanting to add more things to do.

Brenda: My routine is too full and I try my best to add in meditation, exercise, and setting daily goals, and at times I can’t seem to accomplish everything, but when I do these 3 things, it helps my attitude get through the day with a smile.

Dominique: With all the hard aches, rough patches, and bumps you may face, you have to find that common ground to keep you pushing through it. Seeing the big picture to your goals can help make it easier to keep pushing through those tough times, don’t you agree?

Brenda: Yes, which is important when it comes to having such a busy schedule that your day just isn’t long enough. Let’s ask our audience: What are some of your routines and goals that may keep you busy, not busy enough, or just enough to keep your life balanced?

Talking To Your TV, Crazy or Normal?

Brenda: I don’t know about you, but I talk to the TV…Mark makes fun of me because he says they can’t hear you! I don’t care, if I think someone on TV needs to be running from a killer…I will scream for them to RUN and run fast, if they fall I will say get your ass up and get the hell out of there you idiot!

Dominique: I do the same thing, “What are you doing? Get up and run!” is a comment I would say to the TV when I watch a scary movie. Understanding damn well that the TV cannot hear my remarks while I am trying to be a director for the movie.

Brenda: You know what else if I don’t agree with what someone is wearing on TV I will say, I don’t know what you were thinking wearing that and your hair, you should try something else and Mark tells me I don’t think they care about your opinion! I tell him they should because they look ridiculous and I can help them look better!

Dominique: Have you ever felt the tense relaxing feeling of being your own director. It’s hard when my actors don’t listen. Yes, I know they cannot hear me! Yes, I know I didn’t film the movie! Yes, I know I sound crazy talking to the TV! The frustration you get and the tense anger I feel from watching a movie that isn’t going my way.

Brenda: This can happen to me with sports too, if they’re not making their baskets or free throws they are going to hear it from me. You are a professional basketball player, MAKE YOUR DAMN FREE THROWS! I don’t think this is crazy I like to be involved with what I watch, don’t you?

Dominique: Yes, I agree that million dollar players should make their free throws. Sometimes I find myself rolling my eyes and huffing just wondering why they can’t make a simple shot! Or have you ever been so emotionally connected in a romantic movie that it makes you sit up from the couch just to feel that heart felt moment?

Brenda: Yes, I have done that! Man…we think talking to the TV is normal, do you think other people think it’s crazy?

Dominique: Well, why don’t we ask!
